<font color="purple">Не точно offtopic:</font id="purple"> А какво стана със Setcom's BOOT CD ? Мисля си, че предстоящата сбирка е нелош момент за разпространението му, ако има напредък по въпроса.

Свалил съм .ISO-файла на 7-мицата, но ще го тествам най-рано към средата на другата седмица, когато си обновявам програмките и антивирусните дефиниции на MiniCD-то, което засега е все още с Launcher: Hiren's BootCD 6.0.

Определено Бай ви <font color="purple">Hiren</font id="purple"> се грижи за BootCD-то си [<font color="green">HBCD</font id="green">]. В тази <font color="green">7-ма версия</font id="green"> има доста приятни изненадки. Например, "излекувана" версия 1.51 на програмката <font color="red">"HDD Regenerator"</font id="red">, която <font color="purple">Dockera</font id="purple"> представи неотдавна в новините на <font color="purple">SetCom</font id="purple"> и която иначе струва скромните... $ 60. []



От новите неща, които видях [да, видях, защото предпочитам да видя, а не да вярвам сляпо на описанията в съдържанието], повечето от които по-нови версии на програмките от старите CD's, имаше един <font color="red">"Picture Viewer"</font id="red"> [под <font color="blue">DOS</font id="blue">] и един <font color="red">"Music Player"</font id="red"> [който така и не успях да подкарам, тъй като CD-то нещо не детектна саунд-картата ми в <font color="blue">DOS</font id="blue">-среда]. Това е бял кахър, важното е, че го има и че евентуално е тестван и работи, щом е там. А както знаем, съвсем по български - "от имане, глава не боли". []



Обновени са и "енджините" на двете антивирусни програми: <font color="red">"F-Prot"</font id="red"> - до версия 3.16b [в <font color="green">HBCD 6.0</font id="green"> беше 3.14] и <font color="red">"McAfee"</font id="red"> - до версия 4.40 [в <font color="green">HBCD 6.0</font id="green"> беше 4.32]. Както знаете, новите дефиниции, може да си ги добавяте "ръчно" в директорията <font color="blue">"Vdefs"</font id="blue"> на CD-то и това ви гарантира да си джиткате със съвсем прясна база, "лицензирани" на всичкото отгоре, антивирусни програми, по всяко едно време и да лекувате заразени компютри "на крак". []



"Хитът", така да се каже, при версия <font color="green">6.0</font id="green">, се намираше в менюто "File Menagers" и се наричаше простичко <font color="red">"Mini Windows 3.11"</font id="red"> - носталгичен подарък за всички почитатели на <font color="purple">Чичко Бил</font id="purple">.



Е, това не е всичко. В тази версия на CD-то, освен гореспоменатата антична ОС, имаме вече и <font color="red">"Mini Windows 98"</font id="red"> [дооооста орязан, но пък нали и затова е именно "Mini Edition"], което и оправдава нарастването размера на ISO-файла до почти 50 МВ.



Ами освен да си пожелаем в следващата версия да има и <font color="red">"Mini Windows XP"</font id="red">, какво друго? []



Общият брой на програмите надхвърля 60, включително двете ОС и няколко "shells" [от които най-вече изпъква по-малкото братче на <font color="red">"Norton Commander"</font id="red"> - <font color="red">"Volkov Commander"</font id="red">], което за размер от 50 МВ си е адски добро постижение.



Пожелавам на <font color="purple">Hiren</font id="purple"> да се развива все така яко и занапред.
